Our Growing Practices

Willow Haven Farm uses growing practices consistent with the organic movement.  We have chosen not to use any crop input that is prohibited by the Organic Material Review Institute.  Our growing schedule depends on variety rotation to help control insects and diseases.  We use a drip irrigation system that conserves water.  Cover crops improve the soil over time and prevent erosion.  Some crops receive a heavy mulch that suppresses weeds and keeps the ground moist.  We do not apply raw manure to the soil at any time.

You can be certain that your vegetables are safe and healthy as you will be purchasing them from a local farmer and his family.
